Application of Scanning Probe Microscope for quality control of a surface

  • The possibility of processing of captured images without exiting control program.
  • Program correction of scanner nonlinearity in X, Y axis (residual nonlinearity less than 1%).
  • Solver SPM software image processing possibilities.
  • Measurements:
      - 2D- and 3D- distances;
      - 2D- and 3D-angles;
      - length of a curve.
  • Image presentation possibilities:
      - in 2D viewing with a scale change;
      - in 3D viewing with a scale change
        along X,Y and separately along Z axis;
      - choosing of measurement units along
        coordinate axis: A, nm, um;
      - rotating in any direction;
      - getting cross-sections along any
        direction;
      - placing of artificial light source to
        emphasize small features and defects;
      - choosing of color palette with
        possibility of editing.
  • Image Enhancement:
      - fast Fourier transformation (direct and
        reverse);
      - filtration by average;
      - median filtration;
      - sharpening, smoothing, custom
        filtering;
      - subtract of a plane form the image;
      - subtraction of smoothed image from
        the original one to highlight small
        features.
  • Working with data files:
      - Enables to load data files for
        further processing as well as text files.
      - Enables to copy files to any
        location at the disc.
      - Output of images in PCX, BMP, 3DS
        graphic formats.
      - The Solver SPM software allows
        to read and process the data formats
        of all main SPM producers.
      - A possibility of loading of *.pcx and
        *.pgm files and processing them
        as 3D ones.
      - Enables to store all results of one
        experiment in one file, including
        the comments of the operator.
